About the Organization

For The People (FTP) is a think tank dedicated to fostering democratic debate, social justice, and progressive policy development. The main axes of our activity are: skills, inspiration, and ideas. Based in Brussels and affiliated with the European Left Alliance for the People and the Planet, this new European foundation is committed to leading intellectual research and popular education across the continent.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized colleague to join the FTP Office and help us scale our impact as an European foundation as well as supporting the FTP member organizations developing strategic activities.

In this role, you will be the backbone of our central operations— office support, meeting coordination, communications handling, and digital platform development. You will support our statutory bodies, streamline workflows between member organizations across Europe, and ensure our platform functions as a well-connected, efficient organization. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys a mix of high-level coordination, technical problem-solving, and essential office management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Coordinator, Executive Team, Board, and General Assembly.
  • Manage financial support and organize documentation, ensuring all activities strictly comply with EU financial regulations.
  • Coordinate internal meetings, manage complex scheduling, and oversee documentation and logistics.
  • Act as a central point for incoming/outgoing communications and manage routine financial tasks, including payments and basic bookkeeping.
  • Lead the digitalization of internal workflows and communication systems to improve cross-border collaboration.
  • Implement and manage shared digital workspaces to ensure member organizations across Europe are synchronized and supported.

Qualifications and Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant educational background, and special consideration will be given to individuals with strong professional and movement-based experience.

  • Experience in administration, operations, or office coordination.
  • Strong ability to set up and manage digital tools (e.g., Notion, Slack, CRM software) and a passion for digitizing manual workflows.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and an interest in (or experience with) basic automation platforms like Zapier or Make.com.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a remote or hybrid international team.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required; additional European languages are a significant advantage.
  • Experience working within international political, activist, or NGO environments is highly preferred.
